New York is always a whirlwind of activity, with famous sites at every turn, there’s never enough time to visit all of them. The vacation possibilities in this city are endless. I go there a couple of times a year to watch my beloved Jets. If you’re planning to visit, here are some of my top places to see in New York.
1. The Statue of Liberty
If you haven’t known yet, Lady Liberty was a gift of the French people to the Americans. It is the world’s largest statue and stands just less than 152 feet tall. Not only is it a beauty to behold, but there are also guided tours you can purchase. Just make sure to pre-purchase during the high season.

2. Empire State Building
Along with the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building is New York’s most famous landmark. The 381-m tall, 102-storey building was the tallest in the world until the 1 World Trade Center tower rose higher 41 years later. On clear days, visitors can see distances of up to 80 miles, looking into neighboring cities of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
3. Times Square
There’s just something in Times Square that you can never find anywhere else in the world. The moment you step there, you’ll know you are in one of the happiest places on earth. New York won’t be New York without Times Square. The mammoth billboards, Broadway marquees, shopping centers, and restaurants are what makes it so special.
